With work duties requiring the headmaster of TheWattyWay Academy to stay closer to town, St Jacobs seemed like a logical spot for fresh air, water and classic architecture. Though the sheer volume of homes didn’t compare to a larger town, the quality of brickwork alone was enough to capture the attention of my counterparts and I.
That said, if you guys like birdwatching, then you need to go for a walk along the Mill Race, as we saw pairs of geese, ducks, woodpeckers, chickadees, bluebirds, blue jays and even a hawk. Might as well road trip while the fuel is cheap!!!
